When in Lisbon, make sure to visit the oldest district of the city: Alfama! It is located in the east of the city center and you can easily reach it by metro (Terreiro de Paco or Santa Apolonia) You'll find a maze made out of old alleys and places very close to the river Tejo. Back in the 13th century dockworkers and the poorest people lived here, but today its a modern district full of young people. Best month to visit is june as there are the most nightlife activities and summer partys going...
